Microsoft Store Update

You could be forgiven for thinking that the Microsoft Store is getting improvements at a faster rate than even Windows 11. While the OS has been getting enhancements nonstop, the Store is not coming in slow either.

Redmond has been making all these changes in a bid to make the app repository faster and cleaner.

And with the release of the latest Insider preview build of Windows 11 this week, the company has also let loose an updated version of the Microsoft Store. Version 22107.1401.9.0 is the one you are looking for, and it is available to Insiders on the Dev channel.

Despite the fact that build 22000.120 is available for both Beta and Dev channels.

But, getting back to the star of this show, the Microsoft Store, there are a whole bunch of usability and user interface improvements in this new version.

First up, we have auto-scrolling on Spotlight, whereby this content will now automatically scroll when you are browsing. Microsoft bills this as a way for you to discover your next favorite app, game, or movie.

The company has also introduced a new design for gaming product detail pages (PDP), with the updated ones now showing more information and images for games. Very much welcome, this.

And finally, Ratings and Reviews is being updated to make it easier for you to rate applications and games, as well as provide feedback.
