The more things change, the more they stay the same! In this story, a freshly released update to Windows 11 has brought back a familiar feature to the Start Menu.
It now has a search box built-in.
When Microsoft released the first ever preview build of Windows 11 to Insiders, that version did not include a search box that let users know that they could search here as well. A dedicated button right next to it in the Taskbar helped with this, opening up the search panel.

However, in the latest preview build released last week in the Dev channel, a search box has been integrated right into the Start Menu. And it provides another avenue for you to conduct your searches in the operating system.

Search is something that has almost always evolved in the modern variants of Windows.
Microsoft tweaked and optimized the experience in the OS with each successive version, whether it came to the placement of search boxes, or the speed of the search process, or even enlisting the help of Cortana, the voice assistant that is now out of favor in the platform.
Windows 11 build 22000.65 simply makes it bit more straightforward to search.
