Microsoft 365 widget stars Windows 11 build 22000.168

Microsoft 365

A fresh new Windows 11 build has landed in both the Beta and Dev channels of the Windows Insider program. Windows 11 build 22000.168 is the one you are looking for.

And the star of the show this time around is a Microsoft 365 widget.

As noted, there are a bunch of improvements in this latest version of the preview, like new Chat languages for the integrated Teams experience. There are a whole lot of bug fixes too, as is usually the case, and other general enhancements for the operating system.

What this build doesn’t add is support for running Android apps.

Microsoft certainly seems to be taking its sweet while with this most anticipated of features.

Microsoft 365 Widget

Top billing, however, goes to the new Microsoft 365 widget that brings relevant documents, news, and meeting recordings to enterprise users. Additional content is to come, and the widget will only be available for those of you who are signed in with your AAD account on your PC running Windows 11.

That’s Azure Active Directory.

But with the release of the OS now nearing, it is not surprising to see the company focus on bug fixing releases that bring the polish needed for the launch of a product. Dev channel user are actually being asked to gear up to test bits that are to be added to Windows 11 in a future release.

In fact, the company has actually begun cautioning Dev channel users that upcoming builds will be less stable, even as these users are stuck when it comes to channel hopping to the safer zone.

Part and parcel of OS development, as the firm prepares Windows 11 for general availability, expected to happen in October.

As always, build 22000.168 is up for grabs via Windows Update.
