NVIDIA rolls out first drivers for Windows 11 22H2

NVIDIA

Microsoft is all set to release the first major update for its latest OS in the form of Windows 11 22H2, with this version expected to make its way out sometimes after September 5 this year.

At least, that is the date when hardware makers are instructed to optimize their drivers and software for this new release of the operating system. While most companies are eye this cutoff date, NVIDIA has become among the first to ship drivers optimized for this particular flavor of the OS.

The company has just made available its first GPU drivers tuned for Windows 11 version 22H2.

It was quick out the gates with official support for Windows 11 proper last year, well ahead of the launch of the new operating system. And since then, the firm has been keeping up with things with regular display driver releases along with rivals Intel and AMD.

NVIDIA RTX Enterprise Production Branch Driver now fully supports this release of Windows, bringing with it several other features for RTX and Quadro graphics cards.

Worth a mention that this driver is not recommended for those of you who use NVIDIA graphics cards primarily for gaming. The company is yet to release its Game Ready drivers with optimizations for this version of the operating system.

But that should not take too long now.

Complete details of all that is new and fixed in this driver version is available for you to give a scan in the provided release notes. Things start with support for Windows 11 version 22H2, and go to bug fixes and driver component enhancements for performance improvements.

Also included is support for DaVinci Resolve 18, Topaz Labs Gigapixel AI 6.1, Marmoset Toolbag 4.04, Reallusion iClone 8 and Character Creator 4, as well as NVIDIA Omniverse. Quite a lot to gather, so be sure to check out the accompanying release notes.
