We’re nearing the launch of the upcoming November 2021 Update for Windows 10. But prior to the rollout of this latest release, Windows 10 21H1 has come in the spotlight.

For the right reasons, that is.

That’s because Microsoft has cleared this version of the operating system for everyone. What this means is that this release is now being pushed widely to users. And in some cases, this version is being installed automatically.

Windows 10 feature updates are typically declared ready for broader deployment when another feature release is imminent. In this case, it appears that work on Windows 10 21H2 is about to be completed.

More importantly, Redmond has resolved most of the issues and critical bugs.

The software titan clarified in an updated support document that the May 2021 Update is now authorized for broad deployment, recommending users to install this version to take advantage of the new additions and enhanced security.

“Windows 10, version 21H1 is designated for broad deployment. As always, we recommend that you update your devices to the latest version of Windows 10 as soon as possible to ensure that you can take advantage of the latest features and advanced protections from the latest security threats.”

Music to the ears!

In other words, whereas before the update was offered as a manual or optional download, anyone can now check for updates and start downloading Windows 10 21H1.

And while Windows 11 may be the star version of the OS these days, Microsoft has no other option than to continue to improve the older operating system. More so, as not all hardware is compatible with the latest platform.

The company plans to continue to support Windows 10 until October 2025, and there will be a handful of new feature updates for the OS till then.
