Go to the notification area (the right corner of the taskbar) and click the icon for ‘Sound’.

The sound, Wi-Fi, and battery icons all are sort of a single unit in Windows 11, so you can really click any one of these.

A menu will open with options for Wi-Fi, Sound, Bluetooth, battery, and more.

Click the arrow next to the volume slider.

The audio switcher will open.

You’ll see the list of all available audio output devices.

Click the one you want to select to switch audio output.

You can also switch audio output devices from settings if you can’t access the audio switcher from the taskbar for some reason.

Open the Settings app.

You can also use the ‘Windows + i’ shortcut key.

By default, system settings are displayed.

Select ‘Sound’ to open sound settings.

The first option is for ‘Output’ devices for sound.

You’ll find the available output devices there.

Click the device you want to select.

Firstly, to switch between audio outputs quickly, we can use the quick settings in the Taskbar.

1. On the Taskbar, click on the volume and network icon cluster, which opens quick settings.

2. Down below, click on the arrow that’s next to the volume slider.

3. Then, the opened page will show a list of available audio outputs.

4. Finally, choose your required audio device.

Speakers, headphones, Bluetooth devices will show up here if they’re connected.

Alternatively, you can use the Settings app to change the default audio output.

Let’s see how:

1. Click on the Start Menu icon and open Settings.

2. Then, click on the Sound tab in the System category.

3. Moving on, under the Output section, all connected audio devices will be visible.

4. Finally, choose your desired audio output from the list.

And those were the simple steps to switch between speakers, headphones, and wireless audio devices with ease.
